*Fawlty Towers rememberance for the BBC television show fans*

"He's from Barcelona."

>Dude. Re-LAX. It's like you don't use computers at all, and have someone draw your shit
>for you. Google some things. Check out the main page, and just look everywhere. Then
>maybe come back.

With the kidding part out of the way, I agree. The FAQ section on MAMEdev site should be pretty thorough in answering most of the questions with exception of maybe one or two specific issues maybe overlooked in the FAQ section.

I guess the exuberance and multiple number of posts is the newness factor of disbelief that it is actually possible to play the games once again. I recall jumping out of my seat of when first discovering user-community emulation instead of the usual purchasing the various Digital Eclipse commercial emulation with their commercial packages releases of Atari and Midway games back in late 1990s.

I recall reading on Digital Eclipse web site of the numerous Atari games and why Digital Eclipse stated they could not do work with such various Atari or Midway games at the time. That included many of my generation of 1970s era arcade games so I wasn't exactly buying Digital Eclipse's answers back then.

It had to have been in April or May 2000, when first discovering user community emulation when discovering Arcade@Home web site and then eventually making way over to JoseQ's Emuviews and became excited knowing that it was possible to play Gremlin/Sega games such as Frogs or Carnival once again even though it did take some learning curves to set up the game roms and MAME in order to work with my computer set up at the time. Seeing a Gremlin's Frogs cab was a rareity in 2000...probably much rarer these days.

This was in spring/summer 2000 when lots of questions were repeatedly asked because there were hardly any FAQ sections or info sites set up in place back in those days.

If there is anything to get annoyed with was during the days when old MAME.net was run by Gridle (Santeri S.) and there would be daily questions of "When will CPS-2 games be emulated"? That went on from 1999 till 2001.
