Bravo ShouTime for the pcb find and purchase and also to Luca for the emulation work.
-- The unpopulated spot on the left is where the Toybox chip would sit in the production board. That is a custom MCU that Kaneko would add for protection of its games on this hardware, starting from 1994 onwards. Luckily they did not have time to finalize this aspect of the production, which means we have no additional hurdles to overcome to enjoy this title. --
After reading this part, I agree that it was forunate the pcb didn't have any protection mcu device.

My era of arcade shootemups was Xevious or Galaga, not Raiden II etc. but I am glad Wing Force was saved because I agree with what Luca mentions is the soundtrack music is amazing. Instead of playing the game, I would rather listen to all the music instead. The music arrangments made this save by ShouTime all the better. Glad Wing Force was another successful rescue event.
