Sega even released games for the PC-Engine. Japan's videogame market was so much cooler than the US's. In the US, it was all about exclusives and keeping stuff off other consoles.
I miss the 8-bit days, but I think I had the most fun during the Playstation/Saturn era. There were some real gems to be had back then.
