If the computer is wired into the router (Ethernet), then there should not be any configuration needed on the computer network settings, other than ensuring that other PCs are in the same workgroup (or home group... depends on your OS).
You would probably need to run the driver installation software for your printer and choose network as the install point. It will not simply work out of the box.
Anything else on the network will show up as long as there is a file sharing service or media streaming service turned on and it is a part of the workgroup, and as long as you didn't subnet. If your subnet is 255.255.255.0, then you don't have to worry about that as long as the only difference in IP address between all of your devices is the last group of numbers.
