You can do this, to avoid tearings, but you will get ugly pitched sound, if you use "Sync to Monitor Refresh" from GroovyMAME or MAMEUIFX. This is true for me. GLSL is bugged regarding V-Sync and even this tip/solution is only half hearted, as it will only work with 60Hz games on a 60Hz LCD.

Strange thing is, this sound pitching happens not on every game. I.E. i can play fine Aero Fighters (61.31Hz), but it wont work with Street Fighter II Worldwarrior (59,637405Hz).
