After two months and countless hours of coding, I finally have something to show. A partially working frontend with support for software list games. I know it doesn't look it, but I've made so many internal changes that I ended up breaking a couple frontend features.
Thanks to AntoPISA and his category_home.ini file, EL can separate arcade from MESS machines (at least those machines without software lists)... for games filtering purposes only! EL is not trying to remove non-arcade contente from MAME.
