Haze's quote from his May 08,2015 update: 'Couriersud did some more work on Breakout, improving looks and performance (it now hovers around 100% on a 4Ghz i7 )'

>Has anyone done much benchmarking of the non-CPU games in MAME and DICE?

Likely no recent results since last year or year before and that was only testing Pong in MAME and nothing else.

Although users can now do their own builds, I am looking forward to when .162 is released since there will be optimizations work from couriersud that will help reduce overhead and allow non-cpu videogames to run faster. I am crossing fingers that this will have good results whenever multiple board non-cpu games (Tank or Computer Space, etc.) are emulated. In meantime, I figure next couple non-cpu video games in MAME might likely be Rebound or Quadrapong (or a pong clone like Paddle Battle) because most of the code is already supported with exception of a few unsupported ttl chips or in case the cab unit has unique hardware needing to be worked out (serve button or backlit lamps etc.)
