MAMEWorld Forums - The Loony Bin

I highly doubt this will spark any conversation, as slow/dead as this place seems lately, but this is a topic I've been thinking of posting for a while now... So, just to get it off my mind....

By "Personal Meme" I mean, anything you keep remembering and (it) sort-of becomes a running gag in your life.

Some examples of my own...

If I accidentally hit or bump into something, I might say or think to myself; "Look out, there's a ______ there."

The event that makes this stand out in my mind is when a co-worker said this phrase to me when I walked through doorway, I had a cordless phone in my right pocket. The phone banged against the door frame. "Look out, there's a door[sic] there."

"So, you think you're better than me?"

You might think of the old men in the hospital in that one Seinfeld episode... But the event that makes it stand out for me is when a customer was berating me for parking out front, close to the building. He was saying stuff like; "Are you too good to park in the regular parking spaces?"... To which made me think of those old dudes.

"That there's about as hot as you can stand it."

While having my car looked at by a mechanic, I believe it was for the radiator, he had me take him on a ride down the road to see how my car was doing. While this was happening, I turned on the heater. He felt the air and mentioned something along the lines regarding the temperature of said air, implying that it was as it should be... BUT, it wasn't. Not to me anyway. So, for whatever reason, I'm reminded of that event. Those weren't his exact words and are an exageration, but I can't help but to find it funny.

"Eh... You know we're not open yet. Right?"

The words I almost always say in my mind when I get guests/customers to come into our hotel's breakfast room before we're (officially) open.

There might be some other silly/stupid stuff, but that's good enough for now.
