I added that to my view list, thanks. But the vibe of the two movies appears significantly different enough. The machine is a military application of AI and seems more action oriented.

Ex machina is more cerebral... actually no action to speak of. Even the trailer tells you up front its a turing test. Even it's title is intellectual, ex machina being a theatrical technique, used here as a double entedre.

See both! But definitely see Ex Machina.
