Making sense of the key mappings and stuff can be confusing - because you can program any input to be something, ie: SW1 can be SW2; and they won't take input if not programmed. Make sure all inputs are programmed. Then make sure each has a keycode. Press keys on your keyboard to test. Once done, hook up your buttons and press those to see input register.
