> Thank you and welcome back.
First of all, thanks a lot to you for spending time reviewing the categories. I (and Scuore and Swos) greatly appreciate when users give us this kind of feedback, so feel free to report any other error you find!
> ckidzo=Ball & Paddle ### This one lacks in your file
this was there but with empty genre... probably a mistake in the script ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif) thanks for catching the mistake!
> mgavegas=Electromechanical - PinMAME ### I'm pretty sure this is a pinball > mgavegas133=Electromechanical - PinMAME ### I'm pretty sure this is a pinball > mgavegas21=Electromechanical - PinMAME ### I'm pretty sure this is a pinball
these are in fact coin pushers, according to the source this makes them definitely Electromechanical (this applies also to the Sega UFO crane machines and to the other coin pushers), because I think "Misc" is meant to contain Misc standard games which have no mechanical parts...
probably we will need to split the Electromechanical category in more precise subsets, when we get to re-organize category classification in a few months (more on this when we get to it)
> missilex=Shooter / Gallery
according to the flyer description, in this game you move the missile while avoiding obstacles until you get to the target. I'm a bit lost about whether it belongs to "Shooter / Gallery" or to "Shooter / Misc." but I'm open to suggestions
> startrks=Maze / Shooter Small ### It doesn't seem a "Shooter / Gallery" you shoot in > a maze without scrolling so it should be a "Maze / Shooter Small"
to me, the game seems more along the lines of centipede, which is categorized as Shooter Gallery but I agree it is a bit borderline in both cases
> Do you agree?
I agree in all cases, except for the few entries I mentioned above (and the ddz one). Overall, I think you did a great job! most of the fixes you suggested have been already incorporated and will be in the update we are preparing.
I'm also pleased to report that we integrated some more fixes from izius (from italian MAME boards) finally fixing ~100 pinballs which had been erroneously categorized as Fruit Machines
