well, that problem had plagued my work on the NES driver since 2008, but I never managed to understand the UI deeply enough to provide a proper fix now that this is fixed, and the internal UI does not die anymore when you try to launch a softlist item with missing ROMs, both my development experience and my gaming experience in MESS are a lot more enjoyable
