It's possible Alexis is using a ZIP compression utility that is doing something that is not quite standard. If Windows XP's built-in ZIP handling is being used to unzip it, and Windows 7's built-in ZIP handling is being used, then Microsoft must have changed something between Windows XP and Windows 7 with how it handles ZIP files. ZIP is a compression standard, but there's lots of twisty little details... sometimes there's bugs in old decompressors, sometimes new compression utilities are not quite doing things to standards, sometimes there's bugs in new compression utilities. Experiment and see.
