"with energy from the sun, these molecules hooked together and accidentally..." Meaning: there was no cause, we just happen to get lucky.
"they reproduced themselves the same way crystals do" So.... they're all crystals? Why would they reproduce/copy themselves? What methods (or, perhaps, conditions) allowed them to copy?
He never goes into where, or at what point 'life' appeared, because they don't & can't know. Increased complexity, order - can not increase over time... Unless we're given billions of years and able to get...
