NoScript is also an essential add-on imho. Having a good hosts file and running PeerBlock are two further levels of protection that I use. Never install any software or apps on your computer until you at least run it through Virus Total (http://www.virustotal.com) and still be careful even if it gets a clean report. And, as I said earlier, run your browser and anything you aren't 100% sure off sandboxed or VM'd or both. Moose
