Thinking of putting together an HTPC rig, media + Steam gaming on very big screen [LED projector with built-in Smart TV]. Question is choice of OS... Should I go Windows 8.1? I have no experience with 8.1, at all.
I can use Seven, or I can obviate the whole HTPC and punch a hole through the wall and run HDMI from my existing Win 7 box. Kind of like the idea of having a dedicated box though, especially since I rent and holes in the wall may be frowned upon. Plus, it's an excuse to build a new computer.
