Commodore 64 probably had something to do with it, many kids i knew had one and others i knew were lucky enough to have a Amiga a little later down the track, i can't remember anyone with a Atari 5200, and C64 was very popular world wide. A kid i knew had a Vectrex, i loved the vector lighting but the games got boring fast.
