Language dipswitch in Shocking (Yun Sung)
07/03/14 03:13 PM

I recently acquired a Shocking PCB. The game is similar to the "shocking" set in MAME but all texts are in Korean language.

The MAME driver source reads "DSW1 bit 7 was used to select language but this feature is deactivated due to code at 0x0017f2".

Why was it removed? Is it referring to the game's code?

On my PCB, no dip switch allows me to set the language to English (so it seems to be the actual behaviour).

Is there any way to do so or do I have to burn the program roms from the MAME set to EPROMs?

Thanks in advance.
