The problem with Gorf, it appears, is that he is using a Twisty sample pack for the game which includes 0 sized wav files. Such files at this time cause MAME to crash. Since they do absolutely nothing for the enduser, you should be able to fix your crash by opening the gorf.zip (samples) and deleting the few 0 sized files.
