I can understand cautious approach, but I am not sure if there would be anything to really gain if someone altered the name from one company to another and left everything else alone....unless they could hack it to play Bouncer instead...now that would be a trick and a pcb worth tons of money when auctioned off.
I believe it might be real thing, but do agree that more confirmation is needed such as if Irem had flyers or any advertising that they were also marketing Galaxian back then.
Time to get Keith Smith's opinion on this or maybe Andy Welburn's too.
I had my doubts about actual existence of both Allied Leisure Zap or Atari Crossfire when first seeing those names in 2000 or 2001 when wandering around on various emu sites back in the days and over the years they were eventually confirmed and one of them now playable when using DICE.
