The following verses rarely sung are come morning... when the sun rises, they now see the flag is still being held aloft, though crooked, by the bodies of all the Americans who gave their life to ensure it stayed flying high while the British targeted it all night trying to knock it down; that they gave their lives so that symbol of freedom would still be standing there come morning.
A national anthem written at a time when Americans were still proud to be American.
