Seriously.
Were I to see Smittdogg raping Page's clown pocket with your mother's voice... I'd go get a candy bar and check back later.
Pages came free on my Mac, so I fingered I would give it a go.
Two minutes in, I can say this ain't happenin'. If there was a CrapWORD website, Pages would be on there with a calculator sized monitor, a pimple sized track ball, contact paper for veneer, and keyboard like someone opened a bag of Skittles.
Two major flaws that are show stoppers right out of the box... and I must say... I am shocked... SHOCKED... that any minor indie developer would release a "word processor" lacking in these two EXTREMELY important features... let alone a world competitor like Apple, for shit's sake.
1. No grey scale setting for images. NO SHIT?!? The hell if I am going to go into each and every illustration and manually adjust saturation to simulate grey scale.
2. No indexing. Seriously. Are you fucking me? Ok, maybe if your document is a high school report on sharks, and is only 10 pages, you can manually build an index yourself... but WTF if you have a 256 page textbook you're working on. Seriously, Apple? No indexing?!? NO INDEXING??!!?!??!!?
All emotional mac/pc comparison aside... how can they seriously put up Pages as a serious professional word processing program without either of those two features... let alone BOTH! FUCK ME. I'm not even going to waste my time figuring out what else it's lacking... either of those are enough to be a show stopper right there.
Damn it.
Well, Word is ONLY about one hundred bucks, but shit!
