TMNT had 4 players and 4 chutes, each were separate and each chute coined-up a different player. But if you put it in a different cabinet with 2 chutes, you would have to set it to "1 Chute / Common" or similar setting to fix the problem. Not every multiplayer game had this setting at first, but it became popular later, especially on Capcom boards.
