I was considering picking up a Servostik for a self contained, fighting stick. the only power coming down the pipeline will be from the usb itself (no power supply).
The control interface I'm getting is the MC Cthulhu which has a +5v vcc. My question is, where on the Servostik should I put the lead from the Cthulhu to power the stick?
The directions state "To connect the buttons, cut the A plug from the USB cable and strip the wires.
Connect the RED wire to a 5 volt source. (JAMMA power supply for example)
Connect the BLACK wire to Ground on the power supply

Which has me confused as in it's saying I have to hack a usb cable rather than solder it to a place on the board..
Thanks for any help just wanna know everything before I order it and start slicing things up.
