Is Pole Position Gear change not working correctly?

Hello,

I assumed it was a bug in the last .151 version, but it's happening in the latest .152 build as well. When I play pole position 1 or 2, when I try to change gears from low to high, it just switches back to low when I release the button. Is this how it works from now on? Or is this a bug?

Windows 11 64 bit OS
Intel Core i7-10700
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB
32GB DDR4 RAM
