Why, because Haze keeps trying to play political games? He was booted off of the mailing list because he was continually unable to interact with the other team members as a rational human being, choosing instead to hurl invective and personal attacks at anyone who disagreed with him. If most of the talented programmers leave MAME, it will be because they're tired of his pathological inability to get over the fact that he's no longer in control of the project and that the project now has a bare minimum standard for code quality. He was perfectly capable of doing multi-slot in the correct way, and instead chose to do so in an intentionally unacceptable manner so that when it was rejected, he could go and cry to his legions of sycophantic, boot-licking fans who accept everything he says as gospel, to which your post stands testament.
If at some point the majority of the actual team members - of which Haze is not one - decide to leave the project, it will be because they have grown tired of his garbage. A rational person would notice if the rest of a team happened to be marching to the beat of a considerably different drummer and consider that perhaps it's not everyone else who is wrong. Haze instead chooses to engage in Alex Jones-esque conspiracy theories and unhinged ranting instead.
