Have you got yourself a set of neutral density filters so you can shoot wide open (for narrowing depth of field) or with longer exposure (for blurring motion) in bright light? I’ve got the Tiffen HT 0.6 (two stop) and 1.2 (four stop) neutral density filters, and one of my mates has the variable neutral density filter, that you can push out to about six stops before you get pattern darkening. I find the two stop one isn't much use, but I use the four stop one quite a bit.
