Hey Italie,
My flex pipe is broken. It is welded into the pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold to the middle of the car. It contains the catalytic convertor and the downstream O2 sensor is screwed into it. How 'bout if I drive up to Chi Town and you can cut the old flex joint out and weld in the new flex joint? I thought about replacing the whole fucking thing but it's about $200. I'm afraid the bolts to the manifold will break. I'm afraid the O2 sensor will be welded in and I'll have to spend another $50-100 for it. So, I'll just buy the flex joint from Rock Auto and burn up 2 tanks of gas so you can fix it for me- LOL.
BTW, I haven't checked any exhaust shops to see if they would repair it yet. I figured they would want to hang a whole exhaust on and rape my ass.
