I have a USB SATA drive cradle thingy I use with what should be an internal 3TB HDD, to put backups on (not only backups but images of my boot SSD) and don't install it in my machine. I have more regular backups on a separate drive IN my machine. Only way I'll have life altering data loss is if my dwelling burns to ashes... in which case DATA loss would be the least of my worries anyway.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
