no, i dont have any special equipment, but even so i can see/feel more lag in galaga'88 at normal gameplay speed if i have triple buffer turned on

yes, and i didnt notice a difference (using both direct3d and directx) with vsync turned on or off. so, if vsync is adding any lag, im guessing it isnt more than 1 frame at worst (which my eyes are not good enough to pick up!)
ps. i havnt done extensive testing of vsync yet, as i have always used triple buffer. does anyone know, is vsync as reliable as triple buffer on modern pc's, when using CRT tv's/monitors ? ie. with vsync do you still get the same smoothness of triple buffer with no stuttering/tearing etc? ... or instead if there are a number of advantages of triple buffer over vsync id be interested to hear 'em
