I'm sure it's just a gimmick to attract more of today's kids who are more into ....er, less into outdoor activities like building forts, tree-houses, etc. or hunting, fishing, catching wild and/or defenseless animals, playing in the dirt, playing with fire, and all that other cool/dangerous stuff.
The stuff they're into is more computer related. Playing games, social media, or whatever. You know. Not getting their hands dirty.
