SF3 Third Strike black screen with sound all of the sudden!

So I've been running Third Strike perfectly fine via MAME/Maximus Arcade but all of the sudden i've encountered a problem. The ROM successfully loads, shows the capcom screen, and shows the no disc screen, and then the screen goes black but I can still hear the sound in the background of the menu.

I've also started up the ROM on my other computer and it's running fine. Anyone know a good way to diagnose this/a fix?
