Caps can be scary when they blow. I had some shitty digital TV converter boxes that had caps go bad. A friend replaced them with slightly higher rated caps, but there was apparently a more serious problem with the box, because even the higher rated caps let go after a few weeks. My wife and I were sitting in the room when the cap blew, it sounded like a gunshot.
