No, smf is correct. All of these "MAME4" builds are violating the MAME license in two ways:
1) Using the registered trademark "MAME" without permission. 2) The MAME license clearly states no commercial use. Even if it's free, putting it in someone's app store is still commercial use. Google asked permission in advance for their Chrome Store version, because their lawyers specifically called this out as a thing.
Just to point out: MAMEdev is super easygoing when you ask in advance like Google did. So I'm mystified by other people's reluctance to do so.
