For the life of me, I cannot figure this out. When firing up mame on dual monitors with my laptop I have no problems. However, with my desktop, the mame program just hangs on the initialization screen. I have thought of different reasons why (GDI vs. DDraw, vsync, etc.) but none of them work. If I window Mame, then I have to close the main window, and if I full screen Mame, I even lose my mouse and have to go to task manager to bring it back.
Another emulator, FCEUX, runs fine on my main display but the image freezes in the window if dragged to the secondary one. Games made for windows (Dead Island) have no problems on the second monitor.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
