I had to restore my laptop and cannot figure something out. I did a factory restore using the back up partition. Here's my problem.
When I purchased the Dell it had three partitions. One for the back up, one for the OS and one for the extra space. The only ones that showed when hitting 'computer' was C (with OS) and D with the extra GBs of space.
Afetr doing a full system restore it now has one 100 MB partition (I did some research, it seems to have necessary files). Then it has the backup partition and the OS partition and 500 gigs of unallocated space.
When I hit computer>manage>disk management it shows I have three partitions and 500+ GB of unallocated space.
I try to make the unallocated space a new volume and I get a warning telling me I can't make a new volume because there is already the maximum number of partitions.
I thought doing a factory image would give me exactly what I had when I bought it. I restored it a second time looking for any options but there were none.
Any help would be appreciated.
