The last encounter I had with a deer on the road went something like this....
I'm coming around the bend, over to the right is a doe just on this side of the ditch. I start to slow down, get closer, the deer isn't moving, I slow down even more... Then she starts to cross the road. As I'm still moving -by this moment she is in front of me, running away straight ahead, I'm honking my horn. The idiot stays in front of me for a good 25 feet +/-. Then she gets over to the other side.
