There is a very strong plum brandy called slivovic (sliv-o-vitz) that the Czechs are famous for. Some douchbags were putting methanol in some bootleg slivovic and people started getting really sick and dying. I doubt this ban will stay in effect for long. The Czechs like their drinking. They have vodka and absinthe bars all over the city of Prague, and they generate a lot of tourist dollars. This measure is probably in effect until the bootleg hootch can be found and destroyed.
