Apologies if this is the wrong place for this post, but I evidently don't have access to the compiling board. Anyway...
I'm trying to build MAME 0.146 on OS X 10.8.1 under XCode 4.4.1, SDL 1.2.15 from libsdl.org (.dmg installer version), and the bundled Apple version of X11. This is for a 64-bit target on an i7 MacBook Pro. Here's what I keep getting at build time:
Compiling src/osd/sdl/sdlos_macosx.c... In file included from src/osd/sdl/sdlinc.h:16, from src/osd/sdl/sdlos_macosx.c:20: /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:58:22: error: X11/Xlib.h: No such file or directory /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:59:23: error: X11/Xatom.h: No such file or directory In file included from src/osd/sdl/sdlinc.h:16, from src/osd/sdl/sdlos_macosx.c:20: /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:76: error: ‘XEvent’ does not name a type /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:89: error: expected ‘;’ before ‘*’ token /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:90: error: ‘Window’ does not name a type /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:104: error: ‘Window’ does not name a type /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:105: error: ‘Window’ does not name a type /Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Headers/SDL_syswm.h:110: error: expected ‘;’ before ‘*’ token make: *** [obj/sdl64/osd/sdl/sdlos_macosx.o] Error 1
I've tried pointing the makefile towards SDL built out of Macports, but that's not any better. Not quite sure where the issue is... But I should mention that this machine just had a failed HDD replaced under warranty, which means I may not have the environment set back up correctly yet, or could be missing tools needed for the build.
Any ideas? Google hasn't given me anything solid to go on yet.
