That type of work gets done for stuff like Free Kick and CPS2 and then if the same work can get freebie-passed down to other stuff like gamblers then it does, but nobody is going to rack their brain for an extended amount of time over custom hardware for a generic gambler. At least, I don't think they will. Someone is looking into emulating the VLC dumps though. I would guess the security would somehow just get simulated or bypassed.
