I didn't have to change anything. After you load said game if you press TAB and choose Input (this game) it allows you to see what keys are mapped where and it's very helpful.

I just noticed now there are 2 different MJ games and you didn't specify exactly what you have loaded.
Both are working with P1 and taking credits as they should.
