What're the most advanced/latest games to be made playable in MAME?

Well after using the Nebula Model 2 emulator and Supermodel Model 3 emulator, I am wondering, how far has MAME progressed for more advanced 2d/3d games? What are the most recent games to be made playable in MAME to try out? What are the most taxing games to run hardware wise?

I know there are some Cave games that got added like Espgaluda 2 and Ketsui.
