Dragon Kong (dragonkong.com) was offering $46,000 to the first player to get a Thirteen Wonders hand (a hand so hard to get it's statistically ridiculous and worth the limit in points... and yes $46,000 in this tournament).
In the very first hand of this tournament, I was dealt nine of the thirteen tiles up front, and within the first five turns I acquired two more, including the required pair, bringing me an unbelievable two tiles short of having that hand so early... EARLY! So early in the hand. With 40 tiles left to be drawn, and five of them being winning tiles for me, and with four tiles being revealed each turn, I had a 50% chance each turn of getting a winning tile. I was a shoe-in to nail this mother fucker... after I got just one more, someone would eventually discard one of those winning tiles or I'd draw it myself. That pot was mine to loose, so I grabbed this screenshot to track my progress to glory.
And in the next go-around some butt-hole newbie (Anime, actually, that's him thinking now how he can jack up my day with as few points for himself as possible) won the hand with a measly 1000 point hand (the lowest possible scoring hand, it's almost hard to get it's such a shitty hand, and it's such a crappy worthless way to win, no one ever goes for such crap... it's like playing poker and going all-in on the initial deal making everyone fold so you win just your ante back). Robbed of glory and greatness by a pee-on. This guy sucked so bad he was busted before the game finished.
I know, this would be a better post if I was saying "I GOT a 13-Wonders hand"... and it might even be better than that if you knew what the hell I was talking about.
