I wouldn't eat it but it's a fun-looking cookie. Unless you're Eric Cartman there is really nothing offensive about those colors and the presentation.

TL;DR version for the mass media modus operandi: The reactionary religiously insane homophobic population is a minority. But they're vocal and violent so they need more exposure within the media for they themselves are a clear and present danger to other people.
