it was referred to the article by byuu, about accuracy of emulation of each component of the SNES hardware in order to get 100% of games working perfectly, and the specific reference to it done by OP (in general it's clear that often it's homebrew demos and tests which helps a lot testing corner cases and very specific hardware behaviors).
but thanks for having extrapolated a single sentence from my post: once taken out from the context it makes no sense, indeed. meh...
