it seems you don't know exactly what you're talking about
this new laser game is designed to work on an expansion hardware that never existed for the original SNES, but has been engineered by byuu and other guys on its forum. you can find more info at this link: http://byuu.org/snes/msu1/ it has nothing to do with the SNES CD-ROM player which later become the PS1.
in conclusion, not being an official piece of SNES hardware, emulating this game has nothing to do with accuracy of SNES emulation
OTOH, I have followed the development of the hardware first and of the software later, and I'd like to eventually emulate it in MESS, but given that there are more important things concerning SNES that have to be fixed in MESS, I don't see this as a priority
