Not really.I know someone running a core 2 duo\geforce 8 that uses HLSL all the time.Sure games like Radiant Silvergun may slow down bit,but its easy enough to disable HLSL for more demanding games and still use it for the classics. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
TBH,I dont think I could use MAME without HLSL.OK maybe thats a slight exaggeration but I sure wouldnt be happy about it!
