The real problem is context. Most of these different game versions are worthless if there is no good story to understand why they are so special. Currently the only good stories associated with the pcbs are how you got them and how rare they are supposedly (data, anyone?).
Let's hope that soon better efforts will be made to document this aspect of arcade history as well. That should at least include 1. technical comparisons (disassemblies) and 2. interviews with the manufacturers/programmers (difficult, I know, I know...).
