That's changing, fortunately. No smoking in almost any place in town. OORAHH. Other states are coming along.....other countries, especially Spain, are waaay be-haihnd, thoo.
I tell ya what, though. I happened to bump into a neighbor kid's dad ten years ago, not having seen him for years. I said "Hey, Mr. ****...." He turned around and put his finger to the hole in his throat.....
Now, he did work with paint for decades.....but he hadn't smoked since his 20s....however, his spouse...if she's still alive....smokes.
Bottom line: love your body or lose it. (This is why I don't hang out with smokers....my dad an exception, he smokes outside his house, and I sit at a distance, as well as shift position with the wind)
Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
