It's not the talk of "holy things" that bothers me.
It's how Christians believe that I'll roast for infinity after my death upon the eternal rotisserie down South of "heaven". And the smugness they exude as they think I'm one deserving of pity since I don't share such a depraved belief. It's how they look down upon others who don't share their beliefs as not truly being "saved" and doomed to that fire and brimstone. Forever.
If that's considered a "holy thing" then I'll rightfully raise a ruckus over it. It's arrogant and prejudiced beyond the pale. And not just against atheists. But anyone who doesn't bow down to monotheistic Christian belief. Anyone.
Kids are killing themselves because adult fundies taught their own kids them to hate them via bullying and the adult administrations' own inaction. Only to satisfy a huge brainwashed religiously insane political base largely devoid of compassion through that.
And in the name of "god", no less. Can you not see how insulting and depraved that is?
I don't play that game. It's ironic that evil would come in the form of a dark preacher offering the promise of salvation my parroting gullible peoples' own words. But it was predicted. And the lesson went unlearned. Who'd know it would be speaking in tongues via the scriptures of religion itself?
I take it back: Those people are assholes!
And, to my wonderful Judeao-christian friends who can't see that, WAKE UP! The dark ages have returned! And I'm one to fight for enlightenment.
